Cool Chemistry 2008 is a day for girls in grades 7-9 to explore the wonders of chemistry with women in the graduate program in the University of Minnesota's Department of Chemistry.

The day will feature interactive workshops, chemistry demonstrations (aka "tricks"), and new skills that you can take home to wow and amaze your friends and neighbors!

Workshops include: Science of Silly Putty Crystals Chemistry in the Kitchen Fuel & Foam Colors and Flames Glowing Gadgets Crime Scene Chemistry Cosmetics

The Details

Who: Girls in grades 7-9

What: A fun day of chemistry adventures

When: April 26, 10 am - 2:30 pm. Lunch will be provided.

Where: Smith Hall, University of Minnesota. Driving directions and drop off/pick up instructions will be posted online by April 1. Link to campus map here.

Cost: $5
Scholarships are available. Don't let money keep you from attending!!!
