The Department of Chemistry at the University of Minnesota is fortunate to be staffed by long-term, dedicated people who help keep the mission of the University in focus by serving its students and faculty to the best of their ability.

The administrative specialist staff of the Department of Chemistry assist the faculty with a myriad of assignments and projects ranging from course material preparation, grant proposal preparation, seminar and conference planning to helping our graduate and undergraduate students through the maze of University paperwork.

  Awards

Since it's inception in 1988, the following administrative specialist staff members have received the Civil Service Outstanding Service Award. While there are no formal guidelines that must be met by a nominee, particular emphasis will be placed on the following:

Employees are eligible to receive the award more than once, but must satisfy the criteria each time. The award consists of a plaque and $750 honorarium.
