Seminar Room Locations

Smith 331 is the primary location for the seminar program.  It is located directly above the main entrance of Smith Hall on the third floor.  Map and photograph of Smith Hall.

Smith 100 is a large (350 seat) auditorium that is the usual site of the first seminar in the Gassman and Kolthoff series.  It is located on the north side of the first floor of Smith Hall.  Map and photograph of Smith Hall.

Science Classroom Building 125/175/325/375. These are alternate large auditoriums located across Pleasant Avenue from Smith and Kolthoff Halls. Map and Photograph of Science Classroom Building.

Physics 100 is another alternate large auditorium. It is located across Northrop Mall from Smith and Kolthoff Halls. Map and Photograph of the Tate Lab of Physics.

From the airport:  Follow MN-5 W toward I-494/BLOOMINGTON.  Follow I-494 for 5.5 miles.  At exit 5A, follow I-35W North.

Going north on I-35W: Follow I-35W north to the University Avenue exit. Take first right onto University Avenue. At Pleasant Street, turn right.

Going east on I-94: Follow I-94 east to I-35W north.

Going south on I-35W: Follow I-35W south to the University Avenue exit. Take second left onto University Avenue. At Pleasant Street, turn right.

Going west on Highway 36: Take I-35W south to the University Avenue exit. Take second left onto University Avenue. At Pleasant Street, turn right. 

Going west on I-94: Take the Huron Boulevard exit and stay on Huron Boulevard until it changes into 4th Street. Follow 4th Street to 15th Avenue. Take a left onto 15th.  15th Avenue becomes Pleasant Street at University Avenue.

Directions to the Radisson Hotel Metrodome

Despite its name, the Radisson Hotel Metrodome is located on the University of Minnesota campus and not at the Metrodome.

From the airport:  Follow MN-5 W toward I-494/BLOOMINGTON.  Follow I-494 for 5.5 miles.  At exit 5A, follow I-35W North.

Going north on I-35W: Follow I-35W north to the U of M East Bank exit, 17C. Continue over the Washington Avenue Bridge.  The hotel is located at the corner of  Washington Avenue and Harvard Street SE.
