Waves and Beams

A Weekly Workshop of Physical Chemistry and Chemical Physics Research

Here is the current SCHEDULE

A list of previous Waves and Beams talks can be found here .

When: Thursdays 12:00-1:00, throughout the academic year.
Talks will start at 12:05 and last no later than 1:00.  The room is available at 11:45 and you are welcome to come by early to get a good seat, have coffee and talk!
Where: 117/119 Smith Hall
What: Weekly Workshop on Experimental and Theoretical Physical Chemistry, Chemical Physics, and Materials. Informal talks over lunch, with coffee and bagels provided.

The Physical Chemistry/Chemical Physics & Materials Specialty Areas are proud to offer the "Waves and Beams" weekly student seminar workshop: an opportunity to bring great minds together in an informal academic atmosphere with focus on graduate student/postdoc research. Each week a group member will give a 1/2 hour talk on their current work starting at 12:05, with only lively discussion allowed after 12:45 (no new material). This is a wonderful opportunity to bring experimentalists and theoreticians together in an interactive forum to learn about and discuss the exciting research going on in the department - straight from the horse's mouth!
