The Roberts Group

Welcome! We are a group of experimentalists at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, studying chemistry at complex interfaces. The projects that we work on fall into two areas: (i) understanding the reactivity of nanometer-sized atmospheric aerosol particles, such as soot, and (ii) developing new ways to deposit materials that have applications in the microelectronics industry. Our work is multidisciplinary, and involves collaborations with scientists and engineers across the University, including Prof. Wayne Gladfelter in the Chemistry Department, Profs. Steve Girshick and Uwe Kortshagen in the Mechanical Engineering Department, and Prof. Stephen Campbell in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.

Take a look around the Roberts Group website, and learn more about what we do! If you are interested in doing research with us, as an undergraduate, graduate, or post-doctoral associate, feel free to contact Prof. Roberts or any member of our group.
