Undergraduate researcher Lindsay Werkmeister graduates from the University of Minnesota. Lindsay has been working in the lab for over two years, and she will be greatly missed. She plans to spend most of Spring semester in Peru doing a medical internship and then spend a year in the Teach for America program before attending medical school. We wish her the best of luck and look forward to hearing about the great things she does in the future.

We took a group trip to Aamodt's Apple Farm in Stillwater, MN to welcome Melissa and Yu-Shen and celebrate Fall. Now, we have an updated group picture (unfortunately missing Nate and Kathy), and there are a couple other pictures posted in the photo gallery.

First year graduate students Melissa Maurer-Jones and Yu-Shen Lin join the Haynes group - they are both great additions to our team. Melissa comes with a background in environmental policy and Yu-Shen has significant experience in the field of nanoparticle toxicology. Welcome!

The Haynes group meeting schedule has been set for Fall 2007 and can be found on our "Research" page. Meetings are at 2 pm on Fridays in Smith 221. Interested first year graduate students should attend and participate.
