Welcome to Harned Group at the University of Minnesota. Our research group focuses on methodology based total synthesis. Our current efforts include work on the enantioselective dearomatization of phenols, as well as the synthetic ultility of axially chiral allenes. We are also involved with the application of these methodologies towards the total synthesis of interesting natural products. For more information see the research section.
