research project abstract

The project I am carrying on is to develop a novel method of
controlling the selectivity of zirconia based HPLC column by adding organic
phosphonates to the eluent to modify zirconia's surface. Utilization of organic
phosphonates as a dynamic coating on zirconia based stationary phase can
greatly enhance and control chromatographic selectivity. Dynamic coating on PBDDynamic coating on PBD
coated zirconia's surface is employed in this research to achieve selectivity
controlling on basic analytes separation.
