Frequently Asked Questions

Industrial Recruiting

Companies looking for chemistry graduate students set up interviews and presentations through Kathy Ross in the front office (139 Smith Hall.) On-campus recruiting is welcome at all times, but the bulk of the activities is during fall semester. Kathy also keeps an email list of job-seekers, with whom she shares position/opening announcements throughout the year.

IT Career Services is also available in 50 Lind Hall. They serve all students (graduate and undergraduates) throughout IT.

Keeping in touch

We hope you will stay in touch with the department and your fellow classmates. There are a couple ways to do this. First, keep your contact information up to date on the Alumni website. This is completely a voluntary database but a good way to stay connected. Also we hope that from time to time you will give us an update (for the Alumni website and also for the Departmental Newsletter.) Just send an email to Alumni Relations and we will be happy to post your information.
