NOM Research

     Paul Bloom and his students are working on developing an understanding of metal ion interactions with soil organic matter. In particular, they are studying the interaction of mercury ions with soil organic matter. Paul Bloom serves as the director of the Natural Organic Matter Center and the chairman of samples collection for the International Humic Substances Society.
