College and Company Representatives we need your help in making this event a success. Past Chem Day events have brought crowds of over 800 high school students and teachers. Your participation is important and could be to set up a staffed exhibit with information and/or to run an interesting demonstration. We can provide suitable space for your exhibit including laboratory space if needed. The exhibits which attract the most attention are the ones which involve activities the students can participate in. The thing to keep in mind is that our goal is to show the students and the general public the central and vital role chemistry plays in our society and that the discipline offers good career opportunities. This is a great opportunity to get this message to a large number of people and also to show your interest in the Chem community. Chem Day has largely been financed by the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Chemistry Department. Any support you can make would be greatly appreciated. Below is the schedule of events for Chem Day. Follow this link to the form for you to indicate your plans to participate. Help us show that chemistry is useful and central to many everyday things. We would appreciate hearing from you as soon as possible but no later than October 22.
