    Chemical Biology Symposium 2002 Banquet
    Thursday May 30th
    6:00-10:00 pm, Nicollet Island Pavilion

The banquet for the Chemical Biology Symposium 2002 will be held at the Nicollet Island Pavilion. The venue is a beautiful location on Nicollet Island, nestled on the banks of the Mississippi river with an outside patio and boardwalk that offers a magnificent view overlooking the city lights across the water.

The menu will include a Tuscan family-style dinner complete with hors d'oeuvres, Caesar's salad, platters of Mostaccioli in marinara sauce with (or without) grilled chicken, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, grilled
vegetables, and dessert. Beverages include wine, beer, juice and soft drinks.

The banquet is free for all trainees and their advisors. Other meeting participants are invited to attend; however, due to the finite budget for this event and the expected high attendance, we ask that advisors contribute $30 for all attendees not directly involved in the training grant.

Driving directions to Nicollet Island Pavilion from the Chemistry Department:

  • Take Pleasant Street to University Avenue and make a left at the light.
  • Follow across I35W until you get to 5th Ave. SE.
  • Take a left onto 5th Ave. SE until you come to Main Street SE.
  • Take a right onto Main Street SE and follow until you arrive at Mirriam Street SE.
  • Make a left onto Mirriam Street SE and cross onto Nicollet Island.
  • Power Street is the first left off of Mirriam Street SE, and the Nicollet Island Pavilion
is right there. For further convenience, here is the Mapquest location.

We look forward to seeing you there!
