MRSEC-SURE/YCC Joint Research Symposium
The MN ACS Younger Chemist Committee has joined the University of Minnesota Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (UMN MRSEC) in the MRSEC SURE poster expo to be held on Thursday, August 7th from 4-7 PM in Memorial Hall of McNamara Alumni Center. Younger chemists from nearby colleges, institutions, and companies in chemistry-related disciplines are invited to participate. In addition, participants will compete for cash or chemistry-related prizes. The expo will consist of poster presentation sessions by undergraduate research students from NSF sponsored REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) programs and graduate students from local academic institutions and industrial research facilities. A panel of representatives from both academic and industrial institutions will judge the competition. Each entry will be judged on the quality of the poster and clarity of the explanation given by the presenter during respective sessions. Please register by July 30th 2008. Only registered participants will be eligible for prizes. Poster size is limited to 30" by 40" printed poster or fiftenn 8.5" by 11" sheets
